Threads: (x)

History

  • Survives in the Capital Wasteland, in the year 2278 - two hundred years past atomic destruction of Washington D.C.
  • Father was a doctor, now deceased
  • Paladin 101, of the Capital Wasteland Brotherhood of Steel
  • Only just starting to recover agriculturally
  • Age 21, birthday in July
  • Around 5'3''? Occasionally wears this suit of armor or Chinese stealth gear

Impressions

  • Threat Level: HIGH - While Ellen possesses considerable power, I doubt she would attack me at the moment. I do think, however, that she would be one of the first to take me down should she find it necessary
  • Came in protecting Marie, a sick infant fosterling, daughter of Lord Ashur - he used to be a slaver?
  • Drinks bottles of Nuka-Cola?
  • Hasn't been sick much since the radiation poisoning
  • Horses are extinct, wow
  • Brahmins - giant, double-headed cows (Shiphrah and Puah, Leah and Rachel, and Thelma and Louise)
  • Terms to know: The Brotherhood, the Citadel (military), Rivet City, Megaton, Canterbury Commons, Arefu, Springvale, the Republic of Dave, New California Republic, Caesar's Legion, The Followers of the Apocalypse
  • "I've had a lot of practice here, and training from some of the finest military specialists in at least four or five worlds"
  • Nuka-grenades (made from cola) and energy weapons
  • Caps - local currency - bottlecaps with the edges crimped under
  • Safe water's been rare in the Wasteland for a long time - father invented a purifier - 12 caps a pint as opposed to 20
  • Started out with a 1000 cap bounty on her head
  • Mjolnir - energy weapon which uses electricity, naturally
  • "I got to keep Mjolnir after they built it by using it for anti-aircraft coverage during the battle for Adams Air Force Base"
  • Gatling laser - portable Archimedes' mirrors with 240 shots per clip - wow!
  • Shishkebab - fire weapon
  • "They recharge from electron charge packs- small packets of ammunition about the size of the palm of my hand"
  • The Great War began at 9:54 AM on October the twenty-third of 2077 and lasted approximately two hours
  • "My teacher said more energy was released in those two hours than in all previous armed conflicts of human history combined." - Shiva wept
  • People, plants, and animals survive on very little water, and most of it is contaminated, which causes birth defects
  • Has a sylladex that Karkat gave her! a deck of card, fascinating
  • Gatling laser - about as long as a man's leg, and the external casing is a temperature-resistant steel alloy. The internal bits involve "several focusing mirrors and industrially grown ruby or other crystals, a couple of different inert gases, and an insanely complicated powerplant that uses the electron charge packs"
  • The Gatling laser and the Tesla gear were captured from the Enclave
  • Deathclaws are lizards- big ones, ten or twelve feet tall- that walk on their hind legs, and have horns, and claws as long as her hand
  • Yao guai are very tall, very fast, very quiet mutated bears. What?
  • Giant crabs (mirelurks) aren't very aggressive unless you disturb their nests, but they have huge claws and shells that can withstand shotgun blasts
  • As well as giant scorpions, ants, mole rats, and radroaches the size of a human baby - ugh!
  • Gauss rifle - "The rings you see around the barrel are a series of electromagnets that function in sequence to launch" two-millimeter rounds at ridiculous speeds - only weapon like it in existence in the Capital Wasteland
  • - earned by completing a near-fatal training simulation of the Battle of Anchorage
  • "Several stimpaks in a row, injected directly into the site, can induce the body to knit bone back together in the space of several minutes to about an hour", also Med-X
  • Polycomposite armor?
  • Sawbones - robot who combines chemicals necessary to make stimpaks - neat!
  • Plasma rifle - dissolves its target into a puddle of yellow-green goo - called being "gooped"
  • - "The plasma rifle was captured from Enclave forces after I convinced President Eden [note: An artificial intelligence] to self-destruct and take his entire base of operations with him"
  • Had to take aptitude exams when she was sixteen being raised in the Vault - assigned jobs
  • Also owns a shocksword - which lights up with lightning!
  • M.A.R.Go.T. - Metro Authority Rapid Governmental Transit
  • Supermutant - green-skinned, homicidal cannibals mutated by the Forced Evolutionary Virus

  • FEV - makes them immune to disease and resistant to radiation - destroyed the vault on the East Coast which has stocks of it

  • Starts labor at ten - "Assisting the engineers in their repairs, preparing protein mixes in the kitchens, scrubbing floors with the maintenance staff, tending the hydroponic farms, that kind of thing"
  • Vault 101 has a geothermic reactor, to produce energy from a clean heat source for two hundred years
  • Grew up in a dorm with communal women's bathrooms and a tiny space - security cameras all over the place
  • All the Vaults were built as closed systems to see how long human beings could survive, and for reclamation purposes
  • "The Vaults were never intended to save anyone. Everybody was some form of lab rat, and most of them never knew it."

  • Never been good with sweet stuff
  • Order of the Quill - Scribes? who work on histories and with engineering
  • Stuffed a giant, bipedal catfish - which attacks in pairs - into the refrigerator! - dissected it with Dr. Lecter and Dr. McCoy
  • Point Lookout has "a whole tribe of people who'd been cutting out part of their brains, and an evil disembodied psyker brain who'd been a professor before the War had convinced them he was an enlightened power who needed them to destroy his enemies so he could spread his psychic domination over everything for miles around"
  • Psyker - pre-war word for somebody with psychic powers
  • Picked up sheep from Doc Scurlock, and chickens from Javert
  • Slaves in the Pitt - the ones that don't stay - are moving to the capital, interesting!

  • "The people of Vault 112 had them, once, right up until I found Vault 112... they're dead now, all except the Overseer, and he's never going anywhere ever again"
  • Vault 108 cloned a man named Gary until they had fifty-four Garys, and the Garys all rose up and murdered everyone else in the Vault
  • Recently married Scribe Jerald Cancio, Order of the Sword, who made her a replica of the shocksword used by General Jingwei the Demon of Anchorage during the Chinese occupation of Alaska
  • I approve of Jerald
  • The sheep were born with a mutation of two more horns each; here's hoping the chickens are not
  • Found the Library of Congress and the Magna Carta! Neat!
  • Found an old woman nursing Deathclaws back to health - what?
  • "Ghouls in my world are people who've received megadoses of radiation over time to the point where they really should've fallen down dead long ago" - some lose their minds and go feral
  • Fawkes - a supermutant who isn't psychotic, working as a security guard in Springvale, the town just outside Megaton
  • Has a house in Megaton after saving the sherrif's life
  • Co-authored the Wasteland Survival Guide

Weaknesses

  • None for now.

Scabs
