History

- Born in Tuscany around 505 AD
- Father – Gothic nobleman and officer died due to betrayal
- Totila – blond king fond of Teja; Adalgoth – cheerful cup-bearer
- Lived in the overgrown ruins of the 'Gardens of Sallustius' when in Rome
- Defeated Ostrogoths crowned a reluctant Teja third in a series of kings in 552 AD
- Killed on Mount Vesuvius during the battle of Mons Lactarius during the last stand against the Byzantine army
