Milliways Dossier: Teja

History
  • Born in Tuscany around 505 AD
  • Father – Gothic nobleman and officer died due to betrayal
  • Totila – blond king fond of Teja; Adalgoth – cheerful cup-bearer
  • Lived in the overgrown ruins of the 'Gardens of Sallustius' when in Rome
  • Defeated Ostrogoths crowned a reluctant Teja third in a series of kings in 552 AD
  • Killed on Mount Vesuvius during the battle of Mons Lactarius during the last stand against the Byzantine army
  • Make way, you people, for our stride./We are the last of the Goths./We do not carry a crown with us,/We carry but a corpse.
  • Recorded in Procopius’ Secret History
  • Appears in Ein Kampf um Rom
  • Black armor and double-headed battle axe
  • Atheistic

Impressions
  • Threat Level: EXTREME - Skilled warrior with no compunction about killing a man, as long as it's supported with a logical reason (revenge acceptable). Prefers peaceful activities, but will pursue his target to the ends of the earth.
  • Clad in mourning, always
  • Pale, dark-haired, tall
  • Prefers to work in the forge and play his harp
  • Knew the end of the kingdom, but faced it anyway
  • Honorable
  • Works for Security to have “a spot of ground from which to voice my mind”
  • Will wait for others to hang themselves
  • Efficient with words
  • Slow to make judgments, but final, and logically supported
  • Driest sense of humor I’ve ever seen
  • Asked to see Yugo’s dossier
  • Perceptive and detail-oriented – noted kenet, sylladex
  • Persistent – haha, this is such an understatement

Weaknesses
  • Accidental death of his fiancée, Myrtia, during his time as a slave under Lykos
  • Insults to his people, possibly honor

Scabs
  • None for now
